Dear friends,
My beloved, smart, spunky, generous Mom passed away on April 25th. Anyone who’s grieved a tremendous loss knows I’m in for a time of deep sadness, introspection, memory, and gratitude. My mom arranged my first violin lesson before kindergarten, drove my siblings and me to countless lessons and recitals, and later supported my leap into guitar-playing and singer-songwriting. In early March, Mom attended my annual women’s history concert despite pain and discomfort. I’ll miss her beyond measure, but I will always picture her cheering me on. Thank you forever, Mom.
Based in the coastal town of Albany in Western Australia, the Granny Grommets was formed in 1999 and has been growing in strength ever since. To date, there are nearly 90 members taking to the waves every Friday morning come rain or shine! Video link
