During recent shows on the road and at home, I’ve witnessed how music unites people. People are hungry for community against the backdrop of devastating daily news and countless streaming options. When audience members tell me of their recent losses after a show or share stories about immigrant ancestors or a love of songbirds and trees, I know we’re all connected. The arts give voice to that connection.
