Amplifying Hope | No. 70

Dear friends,

The magnificence was deeply familiar and altogether new. I was playing violin again among lush strings, swelling percussion, layered woodwinds, and insistent brass. Every part of me was hard at work. I couldn't close my eyes, but the music washed over me. Life had handed me a major surprise. I was in the orchestra at the Starlight Theatre backing Josh Groban….seriously, Josh Groban! His voice was even more powerful, nuanced, and stunning up close.

Whose singing or speaking voice has inspired you lately?

Here’s an excerpt of “Skyfall” written by Adele and Paul Epworth. (Thankfully my bow kept moving in the right direction…)
