Amplifying Hope | Week 15

Dear Friends,

“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” ~Lady Bird Johnson

I hope flowers are unfolding where you are. Bring on Spring!

“Crowded Table” by The Highwomen celebrates making “a place by the fire for everyone.” This supergroup was formed in 2019 by Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires to counteract the lack of representation of women artists in country radio.

During challenging times, I find it helpful to declutter. In that spirit…

“With empathy, expertise, and humor, Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff, written in collaboration with AARP, helps you sift through years of clutter, let go of what no longer serves you, and identify the items worth keeping so that you can focus on living in the present.”

The Monk, the Trunk, & the Junk is a parable about how to hold on to the things that matter, how to let go of the things that no longer serve you, and how to tell the difference between the two. Adapting a 1,500-year-old Benedictine practice of creating and living by your own personal rule, this book will provide tools and insights into the transformation that is possible through purposeful “letting go” and intentionally organizing your most meaningful and valued possessions.”

What a perfect message for our creative pursuits! Loved this artwork at La Luna Recording & Sound in Kalamazoo, MI, where I recorded additional tracks for my forthcoming single, “Be the Reason.” Stay tuned!
