Dear Friends,
Do you agree?
“Social media is something of a double-edged sword. At its best, social media offers unprecedented opportunities for marginalized people to speak and bring much needed attention to the issues they face. At its worst, social media also offers ‘everyone’ an unprecedented opportunity to share in collective outrage without reflection.” ~Roxanne Gay

“As long as poverty, injustice and gross inequality exist in our world, none of us can truly rest.” ~Nelson Mandela
If you want to help those affected by food insecurity and the disruption of SNAP benefits:
Donate to a food bank: Financial donations are often more helpful than food donations because food banks can use the money to buy food in bulk.
Contact local officials: Some states are using their own funds to support food banks during the current funding uncertainty.
